Check out the no-holds-barred personal essay I wrote for Elle.com on my very expensive journey into so-called fertility medicine: $47,000 Dollars Later, I Have No Baby
Published since June 2002, the award-winning column has garnered a national following. What started as “The Princess’s Palate” is now a weekly column: The Aspen Princess
Covering women’s “action sports” (surfing, snowboarding, skiing, skateboarding, et al) afforded Ali over a decade of writing and traveling opportunities around the world.
ALISON BERKLEY MARGO began her career with creating a niche that put her in a non-compete category. “You got the job by default,” her former boss, Evan Slater, told her when he hired her to work for Surfer magazine. “There weren’t any other candidates.”
Covering women’s “action sports” (surfing, snowboarding, skiing, skateboarding, et al) afforded Ali over a decade of opportunity writing for magazines and traveling to premier mountain and coastal destinations around the world.
Ali moved to Aspen in February 2002 and expanded her horizons to write about anything and everything that came her way, from regional travel in the Rocky Mountains to architecture and design, food, culture, and all things Aspen. She began writing her weekly award-winning column, “The Princess’s Palate” in The Aspen Times in June 2002, documenting and lamenting life and love in the mountains.
While this is far from a complete portfolio, it should give you the gist of Ali’s wide array of published work. Complete articles can be provided upon request.
